Detroit's Power Outage Was Intentional

As I write this, the city of Detroit is currently experiencing a power outage. The weather has been in the 90's and originally the outage was blamed on the hot weather itself but as things begin to leak, the truth has been revealed. City Chief Operating Officer, Gary Brown was asked a few questions by FOX 2's Alexis Wiley about the power outage and he stated that they had to send a "strong message" to the city to turn off their air conditioners as they attempt to connect the aging downtown grid to an updated DTE grid and in order to avoid a power outage...they had to cause a power outage. Yes folks...in order to avoid a power outage the government created a power outage. The outage inconvenienced thousands of people downtown. Some people could only get out of skyscrapers by ladders supplied by the fire department and police have been directing traffic on the busy downtown streets instead of being out combating crime.
